I tell tales using the voice, imagination and physical motion to communicate our experiences, past and present, imagined and true, in a public forum.
The power of the spoken word is only surpassed by focused action. When word and action intersect you have the magic that is storytelling: events unfolded by carefully recalling to life the words, actions and insights of a tale, re-membered in your midst with your input.
My training is in dance, theatre and speech communication. I have a wide and secure knowledge base of stories, myths and legends from across a cultural spectrum. From this basis I create and recount stories of many genres and cultures using a variety of performance styles. As storytelling is an oral tradition and audience-shaped artform my approach is as conversational and unique as you are!
I bring this reciprocal experience to Schools, Libraries, Festivals, Zoos, Forests Walks, Long Houses, Theatres, Bonfires, Living Rooms, Parties and Hospitals. Once a tale is told it becomes yours to remember and recall whenever and wherever you find an opportunity. Live it. Use it. Embody it. Add your imagination and give it voice – that’s what I do.
